There are two designated ATV trails in the Bitterroot Valley.

Overwhich Falls
This advanced trail leads to an amazing waterfall.

  • Distance: 16 miles round trip
  • Difficulty: Moderate-Strenuous
  • Trailhead: Access is via the West Fork Road, south of the Painted Rocks Reservoir.

Chain of Lakes
Follow this easy to moderate trail to several mountain lake overlooks. Camp at nearby Martin Creek Campground.

  • Distance: 6.8 miles
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Start/Finish: From Highway 93 near Sula turn east onto East Fork Road and follow for roughly 16 miles. Turn west onto Martin Creek Road and follow 4 miles to the trailhead (Trail 313).
