What can I do with my kids in the Bitterroot Valley?
Swimming:
Two fantastic swimming areas are great for kids. Head to Lolo Hot Springs any time of year. Lake Como has a wonderful swimming beach and is ideal in mid-summer.
Fishing:
Teach the kids how to fish. Float the Bitterroot River and fish from the boat or drop a line in either Lake Como or Painted Rocks Reservoir.
Hiking or Horseback Riding:
Explore the Bitterroots on horseback or with your own two feet. There are literally tons of hiking trails and Blodgett Canyon is probably the easiest to access.
Camping:
There are many National Forest campgrounds. Camp along the banks of Lake Como.
Winter Activities:
Head to Lost Trail Powder Mountain for skiing and snowboarding.
