Wolf Hunting
Montana is planning a wolf hunting season for 2010. Court challenges could postpone a wolf hunting season from happening in 2010 as they did in 2008.
- The proposed license fee would be $19 for residents and $350 for non-residents.
- Each Wildlife Management Unit will have a kill quota. When that quota is approaching or met the season will close within 24 hours. The tags are unlimited. Each hunter would be allowed one legal wolf.
- The season would run from September 15 – November 30 unless a quota is met.
- The Bitterroot National Forest is in Wolf Management Unit 2. The quotas have not been set as of this time.
Come back for updates as they happen.
